Can anyone tell me why I can't get this to work? I did a fresh reinstall of 6.5 yesterday, so my original editpost.php file is as it should be.<br /><br />I've logged in as a normal member, but the 'mark as edited' checkbox is still there..

I thought you can set the time span where an edit is possible for all users?

This is not the purpose of my post though. I want people to be able to edit posts whenever they like, but sometimes it is necessary for a moderator or administrator to edit posts without the 'edited by' tag, but yet I want normal members to have the tag when they edit, which this modification should do?

"<br /><br />My speculation was that you logged and edited the post while the time span after which you can not edit the post without leaving a trace has not passed yet.

i'am using this mod but by some reason 'edited by' is not appearing in posts when users edit their message, what might be the reason for this?

Which version threads are you using it on?
